What will you cut?

Every class of machine, from a chainsaw mill to a complete line. Pick the job; a specialist takes it from there.

See what's inside your log

The same Lucas Mill cuts two kinds of timber. Choose the one you're after.

A Lucas Mill swing-blade sets up over the log where it fell. The circular blade cuts a board in two passes, so what comes off the mill is already dimensioned, from fence boards to beams.

Follow the log

A production mill is a flow, not a machine. Here is one Wravor line, station by station, and the page for each piece of it.

  1. Station 1: Log deck

Logs wait on the deck and are fed to the saw one at a time, by machine.

  2. Station 2: Headrig

The horizontal bandsaw breaks the log down into cants and flitches.

  3. Station 3: Transfer and conveyors

Cross conveyors and roller tables carry the pieces to the next machine.

  4. Station 4: Edging and resawing

A multi-rip cuts boards to width; a resaw splits cants to thickness.

Plan the line, or add one machine

Bailey's is a Wravor dealer and Wravor's listed U.S. sales partner, and a Wood-Mizer dealer for industrial systems. Start from a complete line, compare headrigs on their published log sizes, or take work off the headrig you already run.

Let's talk about your timber

Tell us your logs, the cuts you want and where the mill will run. A Bailey's sawmill specialist helps you pick the class of machine, then the model, then the configuration.

What a specialist will ask you
Your logs
Species, typical diameter and length, and how many you have.
Your cuts
Boards, beams, slabs or cants, and the sizes you need to come off the mill.
Where the mill runs
In the woods, in a yard, or in a building, and how the logs get there.
Power on site
Petrol only, single-phase, or three-phase, which decides the drive.

Rough answers are fine. The specialist narrows it to a class, a model and a configuration with you.

Fields marked optional can be skipped. Everything else helps the specialist quote the right setup.
