Wravor

Wravor sawmill machinery

Horizontal band headrigs for logs from 41 in to about 79 in, circular multi-rip edgers, complete sawing lines and a debarker, each built to the customer's requirements in Slovenia.

Wravor WRC headrigs

Six horizontal band headrigs, from the WRC 1050 AC, built for mills where sawing is a supplementary activity, to the WRC 2000 AC for logs up to 2,000 mm, which Wravor calls the world’s biggest horizontal band saw. Every WRC is built to order, so cutting length, motor and log handling are chosen for your mill.

Before the saw: debarking

Bark carries dirt and stones. Taking it off before the log deck keeps them off the headrig blade and the Type 750 blades behind it.

Specs and details

Wravor sawing lines

Five line families that put a log deck, headrig, conveyors, multi-rip and sorting together as one flow: PROFI for the most finished product in a small area, Multi CUT with two bandsaw lines for small and large logs, CS circular-saw multi-rip for high board output, the WRC 1550 line for hard and exotic logs up to 1,500 mm, and WMH multi-head for small-diameter logs. Wravor builds every line to order, so treat each as a starting point.

Wravor

About Wravor

Wravor d.o.o. builds sawmill and woodworking machinery at Stranice, Slovenia. By its own account the company began in 1985, and its founders’ family has cut wood since 1934.

  • Built to order

Wravor says it does not offer standard machines; each one is made to the customer’s requirements, which is why specifications on this page depend on configuration.

  • Small mills to large

Its horizontal band headrigs are installed alone or with conveyors and multi-rips in a line, for small, medium and large sawmills, with the aim of low labour cost and high cutting capacity.

  • An exporter

Wravor reports that more than 90% of what it makes is exported, from production and storage of over 10,000 m² across three sites in Slovenia.

  • Where Bailey’s fits

Company facts as published by Wravor on wravor.com and in its catalog, observed October 2026. Wravor's pages and catalogs sometimes give different figures for the same machine, so a specialist confirms specifications for your configuration before you order.

Wravor questions

Anything else, call a specialist at 1-888-465-8227.

Is Bailey’s a Wravor dealer?

Yes. Bailey’s is a Wravor dealer and the U.S. sales partner listed on Wravor’s own site, covering the WRC headrigs, Type 750 edgers, sawing lines and debarker on this page. Call 1-888-465-8227 or send the form below and a specialist will go through them with you.

Which Wravor WRC headrig do I need?

Your biggest regular log sets it. Wravor publishes the WRC 1050 AC and 1150 AC for logs to 41 and 45 in, the 1225 AC and 1250 AC to 49 in, the 1550 AC to 61 in and the 2000 AC to 79 in. Beyond diameter, the models differ in automation, motor and board thickness: the 1050 AC is the simplest, the 1250 AC adds video monitoring and a shape-following precutter, and the 1550 AC and 2000 AC are reinforced for hard and exotic logs. A specialist matches one to your logs, species and output.

Compare the WRC headrigs
What does Wravor’s cutting capacity figure mean?

Wravor publishes a cutting capacity for each WRC headrig in cubic metres per 8 hours, from up to 30 m³ on the WRC 1050 AC to up to 100 m³ on the WRC 2000 AC. Wravor does not say whether that is log or sawn volume, which species or how it was measured, so read it as Wravor’s own comparison between its models, not as a guaranteed output. Your production depends on your logs, products and crew.

Are Wravor machines built to order?

Yes. Wravor says it does not sell standard machines; each is made to the customer’s requirements, including cutting length, motor size, log handling and options such as computer cut-width setting on the edgers. That is why cutting length is listed as built to order. Timing and what is included are set out in your written quotation.

What power do Wravor machines need?

They are electric. Wravor lists WRC main motors from 18.5 kW to 110 kW depending on the model, and Type 750 edger motors from 22 kW to 75 kW; hydraulics and conveyors add to that. Motors this size normally need three-phase service, and voltage and service size depend on the configuration, so tell us what you have on site before choosing.

Can I add a Wravor edger or line to a mill I already run?

Wravor describes its Type 750 edgers as running standalone or inside a line, and its CS circular-saw line as installable on its own or added to a bandsaw line. What decides the fit is the size of the cants and flitches your headrig makes, the space and conveyors between machines, and your power. Tell us what you run now and where the bottleneck is.

Type 750 edgers
Where do I get blades and parts for a Wravor machine?

Ask a specialist, ideally when you plan the machine. The WRC headrigs run wide band blades, from 120 mm on the WRC 1050 AC to 180 mm on the 1550 AC and 2000 AC, and the Type 750 edgers run circular blades, so sharpening and spares depend on the model you choose. Already running a Wravor headrig? Tell us what you have and we go through blade supply and parts with you.

Ask a specialist
How does quoting work, and is financing available?

Send the form or call 1-888-465-8227 with your logs, species, target output, current setup and site power. A specialist works through the Wravor machines and options that fit, and you get a written quotation that lists the configuration and what is included. Wravor builds to order, so we quote each setup rather than publish a price list. Bailey’s offers equipment financing; ask whether your configuration qualifies.

Financing

Plan your Wravor equipment with a specialist

Tell us about your logs, the output you want and the site. Change the equipment choice if you're after an edger, a sawing line or the debarker rather than a headrig.
